I write what I see; I document what I hear; I talk when I’m listened to; I listen when talking in need to be heard.

About Henya

HENYA DRESCHER comes from a rich cultural background. She was born in France to Polish parents, raised in Israel and came to America with her family when she was 17. A voracious reader, Henya began writing when she was 13 and, although for 20 years her career path was in the cosmetic industry, she has continued to write regularly for the past four decades. Several years ago, Henya made the decision to pursue a writing career. She enrolled with Hunter College, where she majored in English literature and graduated Magna cum laude.

She has had short stories published in The Olivetree Review, The Berkshire Review, The Greenwich Village Literary review, Ezra Magazine, and Arc 25. She is also a contributing writer at the Plaza 400.

In the last seven years, Henya has completed three novels and is currently working on one other novel. Aside from writing, her passions include reading, lifting weights, cultivating her large garden, cooking elaborate Paleo meals, and driving long distances. She and her husband reside in New York City.
